Below is a sample ICT / EduTech Policy for Sharebility Academy

A policy to guide the use, integration, management, and security of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) within Sharebility Academy for the enhancement of teaching, learning, administration, and digital citizenship.

POLICY SCOPE

  1. Procurement of ICT devices and software.
  2. Device acquisition support for staff e.g via SACCO
  3. BYOD policy – guidelines for students and staff bringing personal devices to school.
  4. Acceptable use policy for ICTs and computer lab rules
  5. Inventory management: recording and monitoring ICT resources, including hardware and software.
  6. Maintenance and repair, servicing, replacement of ICT resources.
  7. Capacity development of ICT skills for staff and learners innovation clubs.
  8. School online platforms management and internet, social media and AI use policy.
  9. Digital safety and security guidelines for school data, devices and users
  10. Culture for consistent ICT integration in teaching, learning and school administration
  11. Roles and responsibilities for administrators, ICT patrons, staff, students, and parents.
